Enterprise IT experience, sized for small businesses and new homes.

LumaNet Systems helps small businesses and homeowners make good technology decisions, backed by 20 years in IT and enterprise security.

Remote for clients anywhere in the US. Onsite in greater Milwaukee.

Two kinds of work, one standard.

The same planning and security habits used to protect large companies, applied at the size of a small office or a new house. We design, configure, and advise. The heavy physical work goes to your electrician or installer.

For small businesses

IT and security help without hiring an IT department.

IT and security review
A clear look at your accounts, devices, network, and backups. You get written findings and a plan that says what to fix first.
Email security
SPF, DKIM, and DMARC set up properly, so your mail lands in inboxes and nobody can easily send email pretending to be you.
Microsoft 365 and Google Workspace
New setups and cleanups, with sensible security defaults and multi-factor sign-in turned on for everyone.
Network and camera design
A plan for Wi-Fi, wiring, and cameras that holds up, with UniFi equipment setup available.
IT planning
A second opinion on vendors, tools, and what to do next, from someone with nothing to sell you.

For new homes and builders

Get the technology right before the drywall goes up.

Whole-home network design
Where every network drop, access point, and the rack should go, so Wi-Fi works in every room instead of most of them.
Camera layout
Coverage planned around the house and property from the start, with recorded video kept at home and no required subscription.
Lighting and automation prep
Lighting control and wiring planned for what you want now and what you might add later.
Plans your electrician can build from
A complete design document, so the installer is not guessing and nothing gets missed at rough-in.
Network setup
Once the wiring is in, we install and configure the network gear, access points, and cameras.

How it works

Every job follows the same path, so you always know what is happening and what it costs.

  1. Reach out

Send a message or call. A few sentences about what you are working on is plenty.

  2. Talk it through

A free 30-minute call to understand the problem and see if we are a good fit.

  3. Get a clear scope

What is included, what is not, and the price, in writing before any work starts.

  4. The work gets done

Mostly remote. Onsite when the job needs it.

  5. Handoff

You get the documentation, every password and admin account comes back to you, and our access is removed.

What we don't take on

Being upfront about this saves everyone time. If you need one of these, ask anyway. We can usually point you to someone good.

  • Emergency or after-hours support
  • Ongoing managed IT contracts
  • Cable pulling and electrical work
  • Wi-Fi fixes in existing homes

Questions people ask

What does LumaNet Systems do?

We help small businesses and homeowners make good technology decisions. For small businesses that means IT and security reviews, email security, Microsoft 365 and Google Workspace setup, network and camera design, and general IT planning. For new homes it means designing the network, Wi-Fi, cameras, and lighting control before construction, so the electrician can build it right the first time.

Where do you work?

Most work is done remotely, for clients anywhere in the United States. Onsite work is available in the greater Milwaukee area, including Milwaukee, Waukesha, Walworth, Racine, and Jefferson counties.

Can you help my small business set up DMARC or fix email delivery problems?

Yes. We set up SPF, DKIM, and DMARC for Microsoft 365, Google Workspace, and other providers, then watch the reports until your domain can safely move to enforcement. That usually fixes mail landing in spam and stops others from sending email that pretends to be from you. It can all be done remotely.

We are building a new house. When should we talk to you?

As early as you can, ideally once your floor plans are close to final and before the electrical rough-in. Planning drops, access points, cameras, and lighting control before the walls close costs far less than adding them later.

Do you install the equipment?

We install and configure network equipment, Wi-Fi access points, and cameras once the wiring is in place. Cable pulling, termination, and electrical work are done by your electrician or installer, and we can refer one. The design is written so any qualified installer can build from it.

Do you offer ongoing IT support or emergency help?

No. We don't offer managed IT contracts, emergency calls, or after-hours support. Past clients can get follow-up help on a best-effort basis, billed hourly, and we can refer you to local IT providers for anything urgent.

How much does it cost?

Most work is quoted as a flat fee once the scope is clear, so you know the price before anything starts. The first conversation is free.

Do you work with home builders?

Yes. We design the low-voltage plan for a build and set up the network once your electricians have pulled and terminated the cable. We don't do full turnkey installs.

What happens to passwords and admin access when the work is done?

Every password and admin account is handed back to you, and our access is removed. You own your systems, and nobody keeps a key to them.

Tell us what you're working on

A few sentences is plenty. We'll reply by email, usually within a few days, to set up a call or ask a couple of questions.
